This commercial corporation was developed in 2007 and started its activities in Salacgriva port in 2010. The main concept – cargo processing, storing and handling (stevedore operations).
SIA “Salacgriva Nord Terminal” manages stevedore services from pier Nr. 1 (on the left bank of Salaca river) and from piers Nr.4, Nr.5 and Nr.6 (right bank of Salaca river). SIA “Salacgriva Nord Terminal” reloads round timber, woodchips, peat, angular rocks and other type of cargo from Latvia and Estonia.

Fishery, fish processing
One of the biggest fish processing businesses in Latvia – stock company “Brīvais Vilnis” – can be found in Salacgriva port.
Stock company “Brīvais Vilnis” was founded in 1991 on the economical basis of fishermen kolkhoz “Brīvais Vilnis”. Stock company “Brīvais Vilnis” is one of the biggest fishermen and fish processing businesses in Latvia. After joining EU the company manages production and management arrangements according to EU requirements. Company processes fish from the Baltic Sea as well as ocean fish.
Stock company “Brīvais Vilnis” operates and owns the pier Nr. 3, which is placed on the right bank of Salaca river. The main clients that work from pier Nr. 3 are the fishermen working in Salacgriva port, however it is also used by Skulte port, Roja port and Estonian fishing vessels.
